They all had great aspirations of being the next Casey Tibbs, all-around champion cowboy. Follow their story as they encounter mishaps and adventure in their quest to “ride horses and act like cowboys”.

About the Author

Billy Dean Kloehr was born on September 20, 1935 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Lawrence “Earl” Kloehr and Inabelle “Susie” (Strimple) Kloehr. Billy was raised by his stepfather Frank Dix who instilled in him the many foundational building blocks that helped shape him into the man that he became.

Shortly after graduating from Coffeyville High School in 1954 he raised his right hand and swore to defend the Constitution of the United States and joined the United States Air Force. Billy enlisted in the service on October 26, 1954 and honorably served our nation through August 25, 1958. He was not only a proud Air Force Veteran, but he was a very talented Pattern Maker and used that gifting to support his family for many years.

Billy loved his family, especially his grandchildren and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He will always be remembered for his calm nature, strong character and loving spirit. Billy Dean Kloehr passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 83 while surrounded by his loving family.
